† footnote

You must complete a Credit Card Authorization form (and submit with your application) if you will use a credit card to pay for passport services at a Government of Canada office abroad. This form authorizes the Government of Canada to charge your credit card for payment of services.

A service fee will be added to all credit card transactions at Government of Canada offices abroad (of $1.50 per $50 increment). This fee is charged by the payment service provider and is independent from the passport or travel document fee.

For more information or to obtain the form, visit the Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada website.
